A Personal Testimonial By Gregg Tomusko

At seventeen I encountered a lot of new thinking, and became hooked on ‘searching’! Two books, “The Sickness Unto Death” by Soren Kierkegaard and “The Anti-Christ” by Friedrick Nietzsche influenced my entire life.

The first book introduced the seriousness of sincerely following Christ, and the second presented a radical, and more accurate understanding of the life of Jesus.

I pursued a path to the priesthood, left and completed my studies at Cleveland State University. I taught Math in Cleveland’s inner city, got married and had two children.

I switched to the burgeoning computer field, taught Public School Religion, and I am now happily retired and fulfilling Carl Roger’s exhuberating “freedom to learn” anything and everything with no tests.

In the seventies I studied Ancient Wisdom and Esoteric Astrology under Michael O. Boyce, and learned about my soul’s purpose and of a spiritual government helping Earth return to God’s plan. When I again meet this unique teacher, I will ask how he knew so much about me, and thank him for handing me The Urantia Book, commenting, “Here, this will interest you. This is what you are here to do: be a spiritual teacher.”

I studied with a Cleveland readers’ group hosted by Steve Hargitai. I taught Religion at my church, reading from The Urantia Book to my eighth-grade students. They appreciated the challenge.

I have authored eight books. In the last one, “The Catholic Church and The Urantia Book,” I tried to show a compatibility and spiritual companionship gained from reading the Bible and The Urantia Book.

I have recently written essays for DiscoverJesus.com, an application that jubilantly introduces one to Jesus with no strings attached.

The Center For Unity continues to spread the Gospel, teaching the concept of a 'Divine Within' to a technological society. I'm blessed to join with those working for Jesus.
