Faith Like a Child

Faith Like a Child

.

"[Jesus] depended on the heavenly Father as a child leans upon its earthly parent, and his fervent faith never for one moment doubted the certainty of the heavenly Father's overcare." 196:0.11 (2089.1)

Jesus’ relationship with the Father was marked by a trust so pure and unshakable that it became the model for all believers. He leaned upon God as a child leans on a loving parent—not with hesitation, but with total reliance. This was not blind faith, but a living, breathing confidence built on the absolute certainty of God’s love and overcare.

Even in the face of trials, rejection, and the shadow of the cross, Jesus never doubted the Father’s presence or goodness. His unwavering trust was not based on favorable circumstances, but on the unchanging nature of God. This is the faith that liberates us from the need to control every outcome and allows us to rest in divine security.

To trust like a child is to let go of self-sufficiency and embrace God-dependency. It means allowing His love to define our reality, His wisdom to guide our steps, and His care to quiet our fears. In such faith, we find not only comfort, but also the courage to walk boldly into the unknown.
