“Secular social and political optimism is an illusion. Without God, neither freedom and liberty, nor property and wealth will lead to peace.” 195:8.12 (2082.4)
In our modern age, optimism often rides on progress—new technologies, rising wealth, greater freedoms. But when these things are pursued without spiritual grounding, they become hollow. Secular society can promise peace through systems, laws, and economics, but it cannot sustain peace without purpose. And purpose—true, unshakable purpose—comes from the divine.
Freedom without values becomes chaos. Wealth without wisdom breeds exploitation. Liberty without love disintegrates into selfishness. What begins as idealism becomes instability when God is removed from the center. This isn’t a denial of progress—it’s a warning: human efforts unanchored in spiritual truth will eventually unravel under the weight of their own emptiness.
Lasting peace is not the result of perfect politics. It is the fruit of aligned souls. When individuals live from spiritual wholeness, their collective actions give rise to civilizations that are not only free—but just, compassionate, and enduring.
